The Router

It's very important to have the Base Plate mounted to the router concentric
with the router spindle. Part of the Kit includes a Centering Jig to ensure that you can easily accomplish the required concentricity.

Circle Jig is infinitely adjustable with a range from 2" to over 18-3/8" in diameter.
Router pivots around 1/8" dia. X 1/2" long dowel pin on the end of the Trammel slide.
If circles larger than 18-3/8" are required we have the Large circle Jig accessory
shown at the bottom of this page.
Don't be fooled by its small appearance, this is a full size fence yet it's
very compact and only weights 1-1/2 ounces. Notice that nothing protrudes beyond the fence allowing it to be used in
confined areas where other fences will not fit. It is infinitely adjustable and can be adjusted within thousands
of an inch or millimeters giving you milling machine accuracy. Excelent for doing inlays when absolute accuracy is required.

This accessory is more than just
a circle jig. It can be used in several configurations making it very versatile. It has a circle range from 8 to over 60-inches
right out of the package.
It can also inexpensively
be extended by adding an ordinary board approximating the length of the radius you want. This user made extensions can
increase its range as big as you want without having to buy an expensive extrusion. It is excellent for making large radius
arches.
It
can be raised so that a center pivot can be attached to your work with double-sided tape so you don't have to drill
a pivot hole in the work piece when it isn't appropriate.
It also adapts to work in conjunction
with the axis plate to form the elliptical jig. It has the fast change feature of taking 30 seconds or less to install
and the ability to adjust within thousands of an inch (.001”)or millimeters
giving you milling machine accuracy.
The
standard axis plate is 9" X 9" and you can cut ellipses with an infinite differential of 3" to 12"
between the minor and major diameter. The minor diameter can vary from 20" to 48" and the major diameter can vary from 23"
to 60".

Our shop is very well equipped having over $100,000 of state of the art woodworking
machinery for our club members use. Even with all the high quality and expensive tools available we have found that for some
applications the most useful tool in the shop is a hand held router equipped with the Router Buddy System. This tool
has become the tool of choice when it comes to cutting rabbets and dadoes on larger boards. It has a versatile fence that

adjust it within thousands of an inch when doing inlays, dadoes or other cuts when a good fit is necessary
and it does it easily. No other tool in our shop sets-up faster and cuts more accurately. When it comes to cutting circles
or arches it absolutely has no match. Club members like Router Buddy’s fast set-ups and think it's fun and easy to
use. It even has an attachment that can cut elliptical shapes.
It surprised us that with all the expensive tools we have, there are times
and operations when the inexpensive Router Buddy outshines any of the other tools available. For a cost of about $200 for

Quite frankly, the Router Buddy is one of the best tool accessories I've ever
purchased.
It's
truly a simple concept, you drill a small hole in the center of your desired circle. There's a small pin on the router base,
which slips into the hole you drilled. The router rotates around that pin, it's very simple and effective, and easy to micro-adjust.
In fact, it's the best system I've ever seen.
Honestly, this invention is such a huge time saver for me, it's
cut hours off of the tile inlaying that I do. Worth every penny!

I bought a Router Buddy to cut a hole in a baffle board for a guitar amp speaker. Worked
fantastic!!!! If you are building guitar speaker cabinets, you need a Router Buddy! It’s a keeper!

Wanted to let you know that the Router Buddy arrived last Thursday. It fit my son's router and performed as advertised.
Even though I have never used a router before, I was able to route out 18 and 16 inch diameter wheels and various diameter
counter bores, for my sons' sculpture base lazy susan's, with ease. On one counter bore I was able to cut away all
but a 1.08 inch diameter boss, where the pivot pin was located. The remaining boss was very easy to remove with a couple
of passes when I removed the pivot pin from the base plate.

Buddy. After seeing it in action at the Wood Works show in West Springfield, Massachusetts, I’m sold. As a professional
furniture maker, your Router Buddy has earned a special place in my shop. In over thirty years of building furniture for discriminating
clients, I have yet to come across such a simple, efficient and well made router guide system. The system is easy to understand,
lightweight and extremely durable, not to mention a breeze to use. It handles tons of different operations in the shop without

As for hole cutting, I have always dreaded using hole saws & fly cutters because I am not always happy with the result
& often need holes of odd diameters. With your product & my router I get smooth perfect holes every time. A couple
of weeks ago I needed to cut a 12.5" diameter hole in a 1/8" sheet of aluminum. I did not know what to use until I saw my
router sitting on my bench. It cut a perfect hole in the aluminum. I'm using my router more often than ever because it's so
easy to set up & adjustment is a snap.

The best router accessory to come a long in years. I've been doing woodwork for thirty years or more give or take
a couple of weeks and I think the Router Buddy is the most intellegent efficient tool to be designed for use on routers .
Most jigs take all kinds of time to set up and are poorly designed and clumsy -- The Router Buddy weighs about two ounces
ringing wet -- in fact the box it comes in weighs more than the tool itself -- set up time takes on the average less than
thirty seconds and the thing is great for a proffessional because it elimminates carying a lot of tools on a truck in the
process of getting the job done -- this thing is like a swiss army knife for routers; it does more things than you can shake
a stick at and it is about as complex as a shovel. The base lines up easily with most routers and a self aligning jig comes
with the plate that has an added purpose afterwards so it's not something that one is apt to lose or throw away -- Router
Buddy is a must have for any serious woodworker!!!!
